Hagg Lake is building a real camping site to accommodate tents and campers but as you all know it takes the government a long time to get anything done so it’s not ready…yet. Here’s where it helps to have cool Rangers on staff. They have allowed us a special permit to have camping at Boat Ramp C for our event…how AWESOME is that!?!
You probably have the following questions –
Q: How do I reserve a camp spot?
A: Camp spots will be given first come, first serve…but, don’t worry there’s plenty of room for everyone. If you are planning on camping just contact us and give us a heads up. We will be at the lake Friday afternoon for packet pickup and setting up the transition area. Check in at packet pickup and we’ll get you a spot.
Q: What facilities are available?
A: Picture a large piece of grass next to a lake with some honey buckets and a brick building with working toilets. You pitch your tent in the grass, do number 1 or 2 in the honey buckets or brick building, and swim in the lake…please don’t get those mixed up.
Q: How much does it cost to camp at XTERRA PDX?
A: $15 cash and it includes a parking pass for one vehicle…for the entire weekend. Come straight to Boat Ramp C and check in with us.
Q: What if I have a travel trailer or RV?
A: You are welcome too. Check in with us at packet pickup and we’ll get you a spot.
This is a privilege we’d like to keep for many years so if you don’t camp well with others or are planning on partying all night…please find another place to sleep. Thanks!
